Control existing broadleaf weeds to help keep the lawn weed-free and allow grass to thrive without competition.

Persistent Weeds in Our Area
Although broadleaf weed control treatments are highly effective for most common lawn weeds, certain persistent species in our area are only suppressed or not well controlled:
-
Ground Ivy (Creeping Charlie): Tends to persist despite repeated treatments.
-
Wild Violets: Limited or no control.
-
Yellow Woodsorrel (Oxalis): Not controlled.
-
Speedwells (other than Slender Speedwell): Variable results.
-
Wild Strawberry: Not controlled.
-
Sedges and Nutsedge: Not broadleaf weeds and not controlled.
-
Crabgrass: Only suppression of early germination when applied preventatively; not effective as a post-emergent treatment.
For these, a combination of cultural practices (improving turf density, adjusting mowing and watering habits, overseeding, and soil health management) is recommended alongside targeted weed treatments.
